The Union x Air Jordan 4 “Guava Ice” is one of Summer 2020’s most coveted collaborations from Jordan Brand. Union, a Los Angeles streetwear, fashion, and lifestyle boutique, renewed its partnership with Jordan Brand following its monumental Air Jordan 1 collaboration from 2018 on two Jordan 4 colorways with a unique new construction. Beginning with the color scheme of “Guava Ice,” the upper features vintage-inspired yellow netting on the mid-panel and tongue. A sand colored brushed suede base appears on the mudguard, toe cap, and eyelets. White and red engineered mesh detailing dots the toe and collar, respectively. Pink plastic lace accenting clips and a translucent lace support clip add to the eccentric vibe of this shoe. A blue plastic heel clip with contrasting red “Nike Air” adds a classic touch to the decidedly contemporary look. The previously mentioned shortened tongue is actually folded over and stitched down per Union owner Chris Gibbs’ specifications. The wearer is able to remove the stitching to obtain a traditional Air Jordan 4 look. Release date: August 29, 2020.
