The Nike SB Dunk Low “Purple Pigeon” is a classic colorway of the low-top skate shoe that was released in 2006. Loosely inspired by the incredibly rare original “Pigeon” SB Dunk from 2005, the “Purple Pigeon,” designed by James Arizumi, mimics the white leather base and Light Graphite suede panel construction of the first “Pigeon.” More widely accessible at the time of its release, the “Purple Pigeon” also features a Violet synthetic nubuck Swoosh on either side and “Nike” embroidery on the heel. Additional purple accenting comes into play on the tongue tag with white “Nike SB” detailing. A puffy white mesh tongue and dark grey inner lining continue the model’s predominantly neutral design. Finishing touches include a grey rubber midsole and Violet outsole. Release date: November 2006.
